Estelle Snelling’s Experience as a Clinical Psychotherapist
Estelle Snelling (DipAOD, BSocSci, M.MHSci9Clin), SEP) has over 25 years experience in varied and dynamic roles, delivering trauma -informed psychotherapy for clients, professional supervision and training.
Estelle is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Neuro-Affective Touch Foundation Graduate, working with the body’sintelligenceto resolve trauma, shock and chronic stress. She is a PACFA accredited Clinical Supervisor and holds a Clinical Master’s Degree in Mental Health Sciences.
Estelle’s initial training was in dual diagnosis inpatient treatment (substance use & complex trauma) and is currently training in Structural, Systemic & Family Constellations work, supporting the healing of the intergenerational trauma transmitted through the ancestral lineage.
For many years, Estelle has worked in private practice, and alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, travelling this wonderful country from South Australia, to the Gulf of Carpentaria, and throughout Victoria.
Estelle is fascinated by ancient wisdoms and modern scientific exploration. She is a keen fermenter and brewer, and enjoys studying our embodied spiritual connection to nature through sacred geometry, the Sun, camping, weaving, art, music, singing (in the shower) and dancing (not so much in the shower!)
Guy’s Experience as a Registered Psychologist
Guy has extensive experience working with mental health and alcohol or drug concerns. He has worked in both clinical and managerial roles, across a range of settings, from community-based organisations, to aboriginal communities, to private practice.
Guy offers a broad range of skills in individual or group counselling. He incorporates a range of scientifically supported counselling frameworks. These involve using mindfulness to help identify and relieve the struggle with uncomfortable experiences, such as depression or anxiety.
These skills also extend to providing clinical supervision to human services workers and developing treatment programs for organisations.
Guy is affiliated with the Australian Psychological Society (www.psychology.org.au) and registered with the psychology Board of Australia (www.psychologyboard.gov.au).
